Kidman Park Rotary Club has a long association with the Pink and Blue Swim through the West Beach Surf Life Saving Club. Since 2013 this worthy fund raiser has supported Breast and Prostate Cancer research and awareness by providing funds to St Andrew’s Hospital Foundation and the Prostate Cancer Research Council of Australia.
This year Kidman Park Rotary donated money raised from sales at our BookMart during 6 Jan to 10 Feb including that raised from a stall set up on the day of the Pink and Blue Swim event. Several members did the 2 km walk to raise additional funds.
Kidman Park Rotary was able to contribute $4,500 to this year’s fund raising, bringing our total up to more than $20,000 over the last five years.
